Firefighters rescued three pets from a mobile home fire Thursday evening on Marina Drive in Moses Lake.

Moses Lake Firefighters reported that at about 8:30 p.m. they arrived to find flames showing from a single-wide trailer and heavy smoke.

The residents had evacuated safely but told firefighters their pets were still inside.

“Firefighters made entry and safely extricated three family pets and provided care while simultaneously suppressing the fire,” Moses Lake Firefighters posted on social media.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation but an electrical malfunction is suspected, the firefighters said.
